A Distance Reiki Session
One question I have had a lot, about Distance treatments, is what I do and how I conduct the session.
To those who have never had an in-person session it can't be explained by "it’s the same as in-person" so I will explain what I do. Others may have a slightly different way of going about it but the basis is the same.
Prior to the appointed time, I instruct the recipient to find a comfortable position, either sitting, feet on floor, or laying down in a quiet room where they will not be interrupted. I like to tell my clients to set their intent to receive healing. I tell them to take some cleansing breaths to relax and to close their eyes. I also recommend having a glass of water handy so they may keep hydrated during and after the session.
A few minutes before I begin the session, I will start some relaxing music, light some incense, and candles to create a relaxing area. I then bring out my "surrogate". This is a Teddy Bear I use as a stand in for the client.
As I begin the session, at the appointed time, I focus on the clients information, and location. I draw the appropriate symbols on my hands and over the surrogate. I begin the flow of energy and I place my hands just above the surrogate, and allow the energy to flow into it as if it were the actual client. There are 12 specific postitions I hold my hands, each for a few minutes, then changing to the next position. The whole process, takes about an hour.
Afterwards, I will contact the client as to how they are feeling after the session is complete, and what, if anything, they noticed during the session.
