Can Reiki Help Me?
Reiki has aided in healing virtually every known illness and injury including very serious problems like cancer and heart disease, as well as skin problems, cuts, broken bones, headaches, colds, sunburn, insect bites and insomnia, as well as things like lack of confidence, depression, and anxiety... Reiki can reduce or eliminate pain, decrease anxiety before surgery, and reduce recovery time after surgery. Reiki helps relieve stress, overcome unwanted habits, achieve goals. Reiki may also be used in conjunction with many different therapy modalities. Reiki will NOT adversely interact with other forms of treatment you may be taking/receiving, but added to current treatments and medications it can enhance their effectiveness. Reiki is NOT meant to be a replacement to medical and psychological treatments, but can assist them.
It must be noted however, that healing does NOT always mean CURE. Reiki can aid healing, but will NOT “magic” the ailment away.
Herring’s Law of Cure states: “All cure starts from within out, from the head down, and in reverse order as the symptoms have appeared.” Therefore, no one can say exactly how long it will take Reiki to work on your condition. Each person and each condition is different. Some may experience immediate results, while others may take a week, a month, a year, or the condition may persist indefinitely, and Reiki may only help make the client more comfortable.
In my own experiences, I have witnessed 2 cancer patients, the first which had no allopathic treatment available, and late in the progression of the disease(a rare primary liver cancer) when the pain was often very severe, given Reiki as the pain meds had a chance to take effect. During these times, Reiki would bring relief that was visible within seconds, allowing pain-free time for the medications to work. The second patient had a rare type of cancer, known only to me as Sarcoma tumors. This patient had one tumor removed, which seemed to make the cancer “angry” and it quickly spread with other tumors popping up in several different locations on her person. The patient then underwent radiation and chemo therapies, and though the treated tumors seemed to respond, others continued to grow. As the traditional treatments weakened the patients immune system, other infections invaded causing the patient to become weaker and weaker. Late in the progression of the disease the patient had given up and chose to no longer fight it. This patient was also given Reiki, and again, within seconds showed visible relief from the pain, allowing the medication to work effectively. I am confident in saying that Reiki aided both of these patients to be more comfortable as they transitioned from this life.
I also have helped a client with a severe heart condition by administering Reiki during the severe angina attack as they waited for the nitroglycerin tablet to dissolve and stop the pain. The pain eased within seconds noticeably, to everyone there.
I have helped my own children at times during their childhood, with their smaller “ouchies” and also with sporadic issues with insomnia and also migraines (due to stress). I personally have been helped with sinus headaches, back pain, hip pain, and depression and while NOT totally cured as yet, I can honestly say Reiki has made these conditions more manageable while I go thru other treatments as well.
So to answer the question, YES! I believe Reiki can help anyone who chooses it as an option or in addition to other treatments, no matter what the problem may be!
