More About Distance Reiki

Image
Second degree Reiki practitioners learn and receive three symbols, one of which is the "distance symbol." When invoked and used by a Reiki practitioner, this symbol allows the practitioner to send healing Reiki energy across time and space. This symbol can also be used in-person to help clear blockages from the past, or across large parts of the body. Similarly, it can be used to cleanse neighborhoods or geographic places. When practicing Reiki on someone who is not physically present, this symbol is used to connect to his or her energy. Distance Reiki works according to the Hermetic Law of Similarity, which holds that we are all connected, as we are all energy matter and part of a larger whole. As such, invoking this law during a distance Reiki session allows the practitioner to link an object to the energy field of the recipient. I typically use the recipient's photo along with a healing crystal." <<<excerpt from (not my site) https://www.mindbodygreen.com...

Can Reiki Help Me?

Image
Reiki has aided in healing virtually every known illness and injury including very serious problems like cancer and heart disease, as well as skin problems, cuts, broken bones, headaches, colds, sunburn, insect bites and insomnia, as well as things like lack of confidence, depression, and anxiety... Reiki can reduce or eliminate pain, decrease anxiety before surgery, and reduce recovery time after surgery. Reiki helps relieve stress, overcome unwanted habits, achieve goals. Reiki may also be used in conjunction with many different therapy modalities. Reiki will NOT adversely interact with other forms of treatment you may be taking/receiving, but added to current treatments and medications it can enhance their effectiveness. Reiki is NOT meant to be a replacement to medical and psychological treatments, but can assist them. It must be noted however, that healing does NOT always mean CURE. Reiki can aid healing , but will NOT “magic” the ailment away. Herring’s Law of Cure states: ...

About Reiki

Image
First of all, Reiki is comprised of 2 Japanese words: "Rei" meaninig Universal and "Ki" meaning Life force Energy. When I "send" or "give" Reiki, I am "channeling" that Universal Energy through myself and to them. It does not take my energy, I tap into that Universal energy and focus it on specific people, plants, animals, etc. I was Attuned to this by another Reiki master, given the knowledge and symbols and was empowered to tap into the energy. Reiki is NOT a religion. It beautifully compliments all belief systems. Reiki cannot be used for harm, ever. It is always for the highest good of the "patient". Reiki goes to where it is needed most in the patient, and treats the mind as well as the body, or situation, and can even transcend time. Reiki is a completely natural way of reducing stress and healing, that compliments treatment from your regular physician. It is not a replacement for regular checkups and health care. Reiki ...

How Reiki Works

Image
How Reiki Works - Reiki is a spiritual practice of healing. It uses and heals the Universal Life Force within and around a person. This Universal Life Force with is energy is called Qi or Ki. Reiki uses the concept that in order for a person to be healthy and balanced, they need to have a free flow of Qi/Ki both within and around them. It is not a religion, but a spiritual practice. Anyone can practice Reiki regardless of their religious orientation. As long as they go through the learning process, they can pass it on properly and use it to heal others. It is done through ‘Attunement’. In attunement process, the Reiki master or teacher passes the knowledge and energy to their student for using Reiki; primarily to heal themselves, and then others. Reiki is a form of energy healing. The practitioner passes the Universal Life Force from their hands to the person receiving Reiki; with a motive to heal the incongruences or illness in a person. Reiki does not use physical tools like other he...

Is Reiki All in My Head?

Image
Is Reiki all in my Head? - I know I have run across this question a lot in my journey as a Reiki practitioner. My first thought is that the energy is there... you may not be able to SEE it but its there... in treatments the energy is felt usually by both the giver and the patient... But the way we were all raised many of us tend to raise an eyebrow and question it. We question what we feel, question if its real... My answer to that is simply, if its in your mind it IS real... you make it real. When you want something, does it not start as a thought in your head? Angie Webster's article (from  http://naturalholisticlife.wordpress.com/  )  puts it into words perhaps better than I can, so here you go... Article by Angie Webster In Western society, we are very protective of the scientific approach and insist that all things be looked at in an intensely logically manner. Science has greatly benefitted the world and is a wonderful tool. However, there is almost a fear of not se...

A Distance Reiki Session

Image
One question I have had a lot, about Distance treatments, is what I do and how I conduct the session. To those who have never had an in-person session it can't be explained by "it’s the same as in-person" so I will explain what I do. Others may have a slightly different way of going about it but the basis is the same. Prior to the appointed time, I instruct the recipient to find a comfortable position, either sitting, feet on floor, or laying down in a quiet room where they will not be interrupted. I like to tell my clients to set their intent to receive healing. I tell them to take some cleansing breaths to relax and to close their eyes. I also recommend having a glass of water handy so they may keep hydrated during and after the session. A few minutes before I begin the session, I will start some relaxing music, light some incense, and candles to create a relaxing area. I then bring out my "surrogate". This is a Teddy Bear I use as a stand in for the client. A...
